Overcoming Challenges and Discovering My Potential
The past three months have been an extraordinary experience, surpassing all my expectations. It feels like a whirlwind, a three-hour class that flew by in an instant.
However, let me take you back to the beginning, where it all started, with online courses and the daunting task of juggling my schedule and travels. The initial hurdles drained my motivation and kept me trapped, but I managed to break free and push myself beyond my limits.
Hanging on my wall is a constant reminder of my first session, a symbol of motivation and the topic that sparked it all: “KHUDI.”
Embarking on a New Adventure
Initially, the Amal Fellowship was a mystery to me. My LinkedIn profile and my sister’s cupboard were flooded with Amal certificates and recognitions, piquing my curiosity.
Although uncertain about the appeal, I decided to seize the opportunity. As the wise saying goes,
“Success often comes to those who are willing to step outside their comfort zone and embrace the unknown”.
With little motivation, I mustered the courage for my first interview, already burdened with numerous commitments. Virtual sessions seemed like a comfortable choice, as I never fancied traveling or even going out for shopping. But then, something within me urged me to step out of my comfort zone, leading me to the in-person sessions.
Challenging Beginnings
Balancing a three-hour weekend session with an equivalent amount of time dedicated to the online course throughout the week proved to be quite a challenge. I’ll admit I was skeptical about the value of attending in-person sessions. I feared being sucked back into the classroom routine I experienced at university. However, I joined the fellowship with unwavering dedication and passion.
Even when faced with final-term assignments, I contemplated quitting the fellowship. Yet, my inner voice reassured me that I was fortunate to be selected and encouraged me to embrace this opportunity for personal growth. The blended learning approach, featuring interactive online courses and project work, soon transformed my perspective. It became crystal clear that joining the Amal Fellowship was one of the best decisions I had ever made.

2. Unveiling Your True Self and Values
Initially, the exercise of selecting values from an extensive list seemed perplexing. I believed that I cared about all the mentioned values. But as I started eliminating them one by one, I experienced an eye-opening realization. I discovered the essence of what truly matters to me beyond my own self-interest. This reflection on important values allowed me to transcend my self-image and self-worth, delving deeper into the core of my identity.
